Podcast: Pastoring a Politically Exhausted Church
Pastoring a Politically Exhausted Church (Spotify)
This podcast from Mid-America Reformed Seminary addresses political disagreements within churches. Here is the Spotify description of this podcast episode:
Political division strains friendships, but sometimes, it also fractures churches, turning voting records into litmus tests for gospel faithfulness and Sunday mornings into ideological battlegrounds. In this first episode of a four-part series, Marscast host Jared Luttjeboer sits down with Dr. Alan Strange to diagnose what’s really happening beneath the surface of politically exhausted congregations, and why the Reformed tradition’s hard-won wisdom about the church’s proper role may be exactly what pastors need right now.
I highly recommend that all churches and church officers and church members and adherents give this educator careful attention on this subject. You may not agree with Dr. Strange (President of the seminary) but I find his stance quite convincing.
The Mid-America Reformed Seminary
“serves Christ and his church by assisting in the formation and preparation of servants for the Kingdom of God. Our primary purpose is to train men for the gospel ministry of Jesus Christ in confessional Reformed and Presbyterian churches. We also provide solid theological training for others among God’s people whose life calling may be enhanced by theological education.”.
